In need of floor plans

I'm working on a rather involved project that will hopefully turn into an ongoing video series.

Currently I am in need of apartment or house floor plans. They don't have to be yours, they can be pulled from Google for all it matters, I just need a wide variety. Doesn't matter how big the home is, as long as the image contains dimensions for each room, total square footage/meters would also be handy.

AND.... Go.

Updated my post.

*throws smoke bomb and disappears into the moonlight*

Plan I quickly threw together. The bed is a full double. The counters are 50cm deep and the kitchen island is 1m x 1.5m with a 1m gap between it and the counter. The sofas and tv stand aren't necessarily to scale (I just tried to make them recognisable and with not too ridiculous dimensions).

Are original plans of any benefit (as opposed to plans collected from other/random sources)?  I could pull out some of my old stuff tomorrow.  Used to do a lot of drawing.

Respect!

The odds of a thread, whereby a known hacker gathers build plans on a government-critical forum, not getting massively red flagged by the NSA, are close to zero.

I just hope it doesn't make the news, y'know, or you could stream 24/7 to make sure you don't miss the swat lolz

You wouldn't go on a public forum asking for apartment floor plans. You would go to the hall of records, and get the original blue prints.

used to make floor plans out of lego, good times

no idea why....why not?!

haha i did  that too.

If all you need are generic floor plans, then here's a few websites that have tons of floor plans for pretty much any style you are looking for:

http://www.architecturaldesigns.com/

http://www.eplans.com/

http://www.dreamhomesource.com/

There's a bunch more out there as well.  Use them wisely...  For with great hordes of house plans, come great responsibility.

Ow, so you've looked into that?

I was just kidding mate, I wish you good luck with the development of your forensic impact simulator...

There is an open source automatic plan generator that takes care of all the architectural stuff for you. The only thing you have to do is enter the basic size and location parameters, and the basic requirements, and it generates a flat or house or even an entire skyscraper for you. I'll look for the git later on, when I find it I'll post the link.

This would be really nifty to have. Especially for this project. Could even get folk to submit their generated plans for the purpose of this.

If I am able to get a copy of any floor plans for my 100+ year old Victorian from the city, I'll post em.
