i7-4770k vs. i7-4820k

Hey guys, so my friend wants me to build him a photo/gaming for $1000 but, the only problems is he is on a super tight budget and can only dish out an extra $100. So my question is which one would be better for what he will be doing. I know they are both very similar in specs but the 4820k is $10 less. My only concern is that the cost of LGA 2011 Motherboards might be a little to expensive for this very tight budget.

if you are going to go with multi gpu setup the 4820k would be better with dual full x16 speed and quad channel memory.  otherwise the 4770k is better in every otherway

Honestly unless you plan to run more than 2 GPU's, Go with the 4770k. The 4770k can out perform the 4820 in a few cases.

Yeah he's just gonna be play CS:GO, TF2, Minecraft, and some LoL. But i was definitely leaning towards the i7-4770k. Thank you so much for your advice.

Is he going to be doing heavy photo editing?  If not, then the i7 may be overkill for his needs.  An i5 4670k or a FX 8350 may be a better choice, and it could save him $100 or more.

Not really, he's just gonna be doing a little photoshop and lightroom. Would the FX-8350 be better because it has more cores ?

According to logan, the FX8350 performed roughly the same in every area
