First off I have the latest bios update
I had to update my Maximus V Formula to a Maximus VI Formula and now the post time takes noticeably longer than before
I have my post time set to the default three seconds but it takes 25 seconds before windows starts to load in. During this post delay the error message displays CPU DXE initialization is started.
Also worth mentioning it takes longer time to load in the bios settings as well.
Anyone knows why that might be and how to fix it? I appreciate any help.
Well my grandmother was experiencing a slow down through out her entire system when the hard drive was going out. In fact, I just finished messing with it not too long ago. I would look into that.
Well I've tried posting without any hard drives plugged in. Still takes 30 seconds before I get into the UEFI.
Hm. Maybe its looking for the drive? My grandmother's computer's hard drive wasn't even being recognized no matter the configuration. It could also be the motherboard. I'm guessing something isn't getting initialized. Is there a component that doesn't pop up in the BIOS?
