I am looking at these two phones for various reasons. If you own this phone how has your experience been so far? If you don't own these phones what are your opinions on them. I am going to root and probably install a different rom. I am also considering a note 3 and lg g3 at an added cost.

HTC One M8 owner here. I've had nothing but a good experience with the phone. The only downside I can think of is that I wish the rear camera was a higher resolution. The front facing speakers have a decent sound when watching videos, the screen is clear, it's very reponsive, the unlock gestures are really neat and having the microSD expansion is great! Also, the headphone amp is quite good for a phone.
