I was wondering if you could assist me in exploring a solution to this ongoing issue I’ve had with my HP Omen 16-c0xxx, specifically an HP Omen 16-c0035nr.
As seen in reddit threads by searching “hp omen 16 touchpad fix” , the touchpad becomes unusable after just a few minutes of using the laptop.
From the investigation I’ve found online and in the threads mentioned, it appears to be some issue with static buildup on the touchpad. However, when I attempted the same wire fix as found in the reddit threads, I still experience the issue.
The laptop has a function button that disables the touchpad, and that does temporarily repair the touchpad functionality, but only for a short amount of time.
I was wondering if I could get some extra insight into this issue, see if anyone was experiencing anything similar with these devices, or see if anyone could come up with an idea on how to root out the problem and solve it.
