HP disabled e-cores in a BIOS update on intel 12700 HP Pro tower 280 G9

Hi All, Wondering if anyone else is also facing the same issue as our organization, we have about 500+ desktop pcs, all of them are the same model - HP Pro tower 280 G9, intel 12700 (non-k version). This processor is supposed to have 8 p-cores and 4 e-cores. Recently after seeing videos from Level1 techs and Moore’s law is dead, I asked my IT team to reach out to their HP support contact to see if our pc’s are affected. My understanding is that 12th gen is not affected by ring bus /oxidation or whaever. But I find this suspicisions that around the same time HP team had reached out to our IT team, and asked us to deploy the F26 BIOS update urgently. Not sure if there was a miscommunication or whatever, post this bios update, the e-cores are gone!!!

Is anyone else facing the same issue ? Attaching the screenshot -

I’m in a primarily Dell shop and this is news to me. So far all BIOS updates on 12th gen have not done this. I don’t see why HP would disable e cores. My recommendation would be to reach out to your HP representative, if your org has one, or immediately escalate this to HP tier 2 support.
