I just got a CyberPower UPS when they were on sale at costco. Its not anything fancy, just an 810w simulated sine wave model. I got the USB interface working with PowerPanel yesterday, and now all my servers can shut down automatically, so that part works fine.
I saw that running pwrstat -status gives this nice list of all the values about the ups (capacity, estimated runtime, voltages, etc)
The machine I have this running on is the same machine I have Zabbix monitoring running on (I did that on purpose hoping I could do this) and I'm trying to figure out if there's a way I can monitor the UPS data with Zabbix. If someone knows a way to get the data into something Zabbix can read, I know how to do graphs and such. I just have no clue how to take the data from the command and put it into something Zabbix will play nice with.
Ideas? I'm open to anything, I'm fine with running an extra script in the background to do this.
