How to block ethernet connection

Hi Everyone, I am in quite the dilemma. Typically i block a connection via wireless mac control. However this time the connection is Ethernet and i need to disconnect this person from the internet lol. It's all my internet it's just i have a guest that is over staying their welcome and taking my hospitality for granted. That is all fine and dandy if the person didn't watch bullshit tv channels at full volume and i can't say anything without being rude... Before i used to just wireless mac control and block the tv device from the net. But then i Ethernet-ed it one day when i needed to use the T.V and ever since i can't block the connection through the router.

Long story short.... Is there a way to control wired traffic via router?

Parental controlls or similar
Select the device you want to restrict ethernet access for and set "forbidden" times to all the times.

Depending on the router you could just turn the port off.

Beyond that you could:
DMZ the port to a LAN that doesn't have internet access
Firewall off the port to not have internet access
Unplug the port from the router
Cut the cable in an inconspicuous area
QoS the port to like .05 Mbps

maybe it's just me, but you think pulling the plug without a word is less rude?

let me guess the person staying is over 65+.

Lol glad it worked out for you haha,
some routers i hear allow to you straight up block inbound traffic on certain ports, I'd like to try that for myself one of these days.

MAC address filtering is not for both wired & wireless connections? If he's connected to your router you can use a simple app like NetX (if you're on Android), write down his MAC address and than block him out.

just kick his/her ass

Shame you went that route. It's more fun to QoS them to an really really slow speed and watch them go insane over a slow internet speed.

28.8 Kbps is about right.

you make such good points muhahaha

lol hook em up with that 56k dial up speed

I would have too much fun with web filtering
Block all sites you know they use, or just limit to one like google
so they can google pages but not open them :P

Tysm, lots of good options here, I did the last one you suggested and checked diagnostics lol, the port failed successfully! Now my dumb brother can’t play his music and trash youtube on the TV.
