Rhood pretty much answered the Ram question for you in more detail, the ram would work on your mobo but you wouldn't get the speed you are paying for. Sort of like 3.0 bus speed for gpu's then getting a 2500k. (not that you need 3.0 bandwidth for gaming anyways.)
