How much would I benefit from overclocking RAM

  • RAM: corsair vengeance 4*2  DDR3, 1866MHz, CL9, 1.5V
  • SSD: ADATA XPG SX900 128gb
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612s

so these are my specs, how much would I benefit from overclocking my RAM?

would it even be worth it, considering the time that goes into it?

I primarily play games BF3, planetside, skyrim (the more intense ones), and do some basic things on UDK (unreal dev kit).

 

Also, what would be the best way to overclock it? a guide would be nice...

no, you wont see a gain in performance from ram overclocking

If you plan on using a RamDisk, then you will. However, currently, 1866 is more than fast enough.

Sorry to highjack...but what about if his ram was 1600mhz? Is it worth it to OC up to 1866mhz? I have a similar setup and am wondering the same thing

not really, you wont see any big difference, and it will come with alot of headaches
