How hot should I let my gpu & cpu get?

I have been looking online to check how hot my computer should get this is what I came up with...

Gpu-60-70c

Cpu-62c

I have an Fx 8350 and a sapphire vapor x 7950 I don't get higher temps than 60c its usually 55c on load or so maybe less just depends

Idle I get

Cpu- 37-38c      Overclocked to 4.3ghz I have a coolermaster hyper 212 evo and artic silver thermal paste

Gpu- 34c      300mhz idle and 850mhz load

Are these normal temps? Should I be worried?

no those are good temps I run my i5 3570k @4.3 on a 212 evo at about 65c on prime 95 and 67c on my 660ti on unigine heaven.  So that is normal.

I thought I was getting normal temps but I trust the community at Tek syndicate more than yahoo answers.

I think the 8350 starts having problems at 65c so i would try to keep it under 55-60

I wont let it go past 62c so I should be fine on that part

I thought the 'safe spot' for all CPUs was around 60C and you should NEVER EVER let it go above 60C or your CPU would die.

No all intel cpu's are fatory set to go to 105 degrees C - I'm not saying you EVER want to go anywhere near that but they can do it (and throttle the crap out of themselves).  No idea about AMD - never owned one

My old Q6600 sat at 95 deg all day everyday in my old rig and its still alive and kicking

nvidia GPU no higher that 90c

Intel CPU no higher that 80c

Over long term.

I remeber when CPU's didnt even have heatsinks or fans, no temp reading and to OC was via dip switches, you could check the temp of a CPU by touching it!!!!
