How can I rebind the KVM command input from left control to right control on a 60% keyboard with no right control?

I tried hooking up another keyboard with a right control, but it seemed to reset the input when I unplugged that keyboard and plugged my 60% keyboard back in. Also tried rebinding in windows, but I’m sure the command is coming from the keyboard to the KVM, not through the PC. Thoughts?

One option that might work well for you, if your keyboard supports it, would be to reprogram a key using QMK and VIA.
