So apparently modifying MSRs for Xeon OC isn’t new. Bryan from Tech YES City has done something similar to Xeon V3 processors:
Maybe a collab with him on MSR OCing by unlocking turbo limits? You would give proof on how it works on a 8380, and he would give evidence of it working on a Xeon V4 or W-2xxx 2066 locked CPU. @wendell
Also, I’m very curious about a Xeon Platinum based Cache scaling video similar to this:
With 40 cores scaling down to Xeon Gold or Xeon Silver, a larger scientific sample for more than just gaming (like the Phoronix Test Suite) would be an excellent video to share.
