Home Assistant Remote Access - A Better Way - Cloudflare Tunnel

I just wanted to make a quite post for anyone getting into Home Assistant about a new(ish) way to connect to your Home Assistant over the web.

Cloudflare tunnel -

It is a native plugin for home assistant that lets you access it over the internet for things like real time CCTV monitoring and location alerts.

Check out this guide on how to set it up.
Everything Smart Home

This is a free to use tool and it can be used for lots of other things, not just home assistant.

BUT- user be warned, like everything on the internet, nothing is 100% secure and there are further measures you can take to better secure your home assistant instance.

Feel free to post your 2c about what else should be secured when setting up remote access to HA.

Have a good one, PAWS

There is also a perfect way to access your remote computers over the Internet: AnyViewer

AnyViewer looks fine, but it does not work as a host of linux or mac so it seems quite limited compared to some of the other options out there that are cross platform.

It also appears that the free tier of their service is quite limited compared to some of the other options out there.
