I have some questions. I am using OCCT for testing and when i test it shows my cpu speed droping to 3000mhz and then it bounces back up to 4500mhz where i have it overclocked to. My cpu temp readings show 33c under load on OCCT and Core temp so it doesn't look like overheating in causing this. can some one please explain why this happens? one last thing when i turn my system on in the morning it will start then shut off and automatically start again and run just fine. As for my settings. I have cool and quite disabled and i have turbo disabled. Vcore is at 1.38v and I have the processor at 4.5ghz and my bus is at 201mhz x 22.5 but i left that setting on auto.
there might be other power management settings. check your bios.
Aha I found the problem. i have to enable HPC to stop it from throttling..
