Battery: 190-243; Li-Po Total weight: 10.8 kg Max load: 125kg Charger: 3.5A Voltage 33v 6.5 ah Motor rated output max. power: 500W Motor type: DC Brushless motor Charging time: 1.5h-2h (4A charger) or 3h-3.5h (2A charger) Charger input voltage: 220V/110V
It appears a 36v 10ah is possible with just a swap of battery/charger. So if theoretically it looks like this can be modded from 33v 6.5ah to 36v 10ah with just a battery/charger. My question though is it worth it? I've been told the higher quality 18650 cells will provide better performance and torque. I have never done anything with cells or electrical work but I want to learn what I need to do if anyone here can help.
I will start with I am not an electrical engineer, I know next to zero but I am interested in it. There is a person I watch on youtube that does this kind of stuff. All I can give you is the video as I know nothing beyond it, hope it helps a little, they have quite a few DIY battery videos and projects.
I too know little to nothing and have been trying to watch all the youtube videos related to this but one thing I can't figure out is.. How many cells does it take to make 36v at 10ah or even just 8ah or how does 33v become 36v? How do I work out a diagram? Am I going to be safe using the same controller and computer.. I suppose I could just reverse engineer the current layout with better 18650 cells but then again how does 33v become 36v? ya.. I'm lost as of right now.
Well you don't need the cell holder frame, you can slim it down quite a bit staggering the cells and placing them much closer together. Duct tape, it all ready fold the universe together so why not batteries. Then you can make them as thin as one cell or place them however you want to make them fit.
*all advice is from a noob, tape may not actually be the nest idea i don't know.
being that I have no experience doing anything with cells it makes me nervous that I might unknowingly be making a bomb. Ya I've seen tape and also hot glued together then a little tape. I will try not to destroy the old battery but maybe I can pop it out and see whats happening in there. I'll take some pics and upload it.
