Help needed - xanmod & zram tweaks

I need some help an advice with xanmod choice an zram tweaking

  1. i like my current xanmod choice

x86-64-v3 linux-xanmod-x64v3 version Linux 6.1 Current Stable (MAIN) 6.1.5-xanmod1

as its help with some issues suffered by the stock with my lenovo flex 5 with 5500u

but that was before the latest pop update that enabled zram , thers been no

performance or functional issues that i can tell but would there

be any noticeable diff or benefit with going with the

Stable Real-time (RT) 6.0.11-rt14-xanmod1

  1. iv got only 16gb of ram on my laptop an no option to add any more an it appears

after zram update to chew more then before both at idle an load leaving less free

if i can how do i increase the compression of the ram

an lessen the amount used an the ratio an rate by which it compresses an were an

what file in the os do i change an what values do i change an by what amounts or

factors an what are the ups an downs of doing so.

please help an go easy on me if this all sounds noobish thers still a lot i dont know

about linux an have never before last week heard of zram , ive only been on an into

linux for 3 years now im still learning

Zram doesn‘t use any of your RAM unless the kernel wants to use swap. In the screenshot you shared only 4Kb is in use.

For most users I think zram is a sane default, which is why distros are using it more and more. Unless there are specific use cases where it harms your performance you can keep it as it is.
