Help needed with Cables

Hello everyone!

My question is quite simple. I have a Corsair power supply (CX750M) that has a 4+4 12V cable coming out of it. I split it in half like I was supposed to but my question is what do I do with the other half? Am i meant to plug that in somewhere else or just tie it down somewhere and keep it out of the way? The modular PSU also has two socets labeled "6+2 PCI-E & 4+4 CPU" so thats what got me wondering.

I know this may seem like a very stupid question to some but I just thought better safe than sorry.

If your motherboard just has a 4 pin cpu connector than dont worry about the extra 4 pins and tuck them out of the way.
