Help me remember an old game

hey guys i need your help

my girlfriend used to play a game on the Ps2 or ps1 (she's not sure)

and she really wants to play the game again but she doesn't know the title...

so i told her i "know" some poeple who can help her.

this is what she said

it is in the middle ages and its a middle age village,

you play as a girl,

you start in an abandon street after that you go to a burned down village,

in the burneddown village you need to rescue/save poeple.

that village has been attacked by the king of that village?

you have to save atleast more than half of the poeple or you'll have to start over again.

after that you go to a park and you'll get attacked, you only have a knife as weapon and in that park you find a boomerang with knifes attached?

it's a fantasy game,

 

that is all she listed for me could you guys help me out?

it might help that i live in The Netherlands (i dont know if it's only released here or not)

i hope you guys can help us out

that is very vague. If you could get a bit more info it would make it easier, like what year it was released or around what year. Maybe any name from within the game, whether it be a character or a city. It sounds somewhat familiar but I can't quite come up with a name.

so i asked her but she really doesn't know anything else but she is sure it's on a PS1 (playstation 1)

So now, several YEARS later.
Turns out it was one of the original tomb raider games!
she's very happy now especially since i could show her that there are many more tomb raider games these days.

How did you find that that was the game?

I showed her the latest tomb raider and she liked it.
Then i showed that there are many more older tomb raider games and she recognised the game cover.

Something tells me if you mentioned a little about the game mechanics this would have got resolved earlier :) Like Jumping on things and Shooting...
