Help in solving issues with passthrough in PopOS 20.04

Hi, I’ve been all day trying to get this working, but every tutorial I use didn’t help. Sorry, if I’m repetitive here, I’ve seen similar issues in other threads but it didn’t help me in my case.

The first issue I got is with the notorious black screen, I boot my VM but it doesn’t show anything. I already installed Windows 10 using the provided virtual display like advised in this tutorial

The second issue is passing a group USB group to the vm, I tried to bind 03:00.0 to the guest, while keep 24:00.3 to the host. Doing that I get error 127 while trying to start the VM.

My computer spec:

This looks like it is your problem. Thank you for providing logs and config, and even formatting them, it is so nice to not have to ask.

The first thing to get the 1070’s vBIOS. You might be able to get it from the card itself, or possibly download it from techpowerup, although if you download it, make sure it is from the exact same card model.

The other possibility is that it is caused by a bug in your motherboard’s UEFI. You may be able to fix it by upgrading or downgrading your motherboar’s UEFI. The keyword search is vfio stuck in D3

Thanks for the response.
I tried both possible solutions but it didn’t help me. The first one, no matter where I put the rom file and permissions, it gives me error while trying to read the file, says it can’t find it. I already verified if is a valid rom and it is.
The second option I tried upgrading but didn’t help, downgrading isn’t an option because the bios block.

I’m really out of ideas on this one :weary:
