Help, I think one of my DIMM slot is dead

Hey guys, hoping to get some advice on what to do next.

So out of nowhere my PC stopped working and produced the 0d error code. After some troubleshooting, I found out that one of my two DIMM slots on my ROG Crosshair VIII Impact is pretty much dead. Figured that out by introducing a different working kit, and then checked the slots one by one.

So now I know that I have one working DIMM slot left. What should I do? Is my mobo dying anytime soon? Can it be repaired? is it even practical to do so? I was thinking of using a single 32GB RAM and call it a day but will this work though?
I use this PC mainly for editing videos.

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
Mobo: ROG Crosshair VIII Impact

What i did for troubleshooting:
Reseat RAM
Clear CMOS
Clean PC
Bios Reset
Reseat CPU
Reseat GPU
Got another pair of RAM
Tried the DIMM slot 1 by 1 with the “new” and the “old” ram.

0d Error Code

Orange led

Try the old unplug the power cable let it sit for a minute…then press the power button with it unplugged a few times and try again.

So yea, I’m not sure what just happened but I did what you suggested and now the dimm slot is working again, it’s been 5 hours and everything seems normal.

Thanks for the help, really appreciated it but seriously wut just happened?

Sometimes bad power gets sent though. This clears all power from the system by forcing it out. Glad it worked
