Help choosing a new psu?

Hi,

I  just had a seasonic psu died on me  after a month of use. I would like to spend around $160. I checked both Rm and Ax's Series from corsair. I Would like to save a little bit of cash, but if have to pay for the Ax series I will. I just need a strong and solid power supply because I live outside the U.S and If it fails I'm done, I won't be able to return it for warranty (shipping costs). Any suggestions are highly appreciated. What about pc power and cooling power supplies I heard good things about them. any other brands?

thanks

How much power do you need? What kind of components are you powering?

Around 650 watts or more if I need it.

gtx 770, Core i5, 1 ssd, 1 hard drive and that's about it. I would like to do a little bit of overclocking and add a second gpu next month.

A 600w power supply is enough for that build.  PC Power and cooling isn't all that great.

If you want reliability, Seasonic is probably the way to go.

I just had a Seasonic psu died on me. I don't know if i want buy another seasonic psu. Any other brands?

I've recently got a be quiet PSU after a decade with enermax...both companies do very good PSUs although enermax fans tend to get noisy after a few years

Do NOT get another SeaSonic, So many reviews read and info on them recently and they are REALLY shitty PSU's do NOT get one.

thanks for the suggestion. I bought a Corsair Rm 650. It's been working rock solid.

Are serious? Please post a few reviews to back up your claims, because what you are saying is total bullshit. I haven't seen a bad Seasonic review in years.

Sir Hexen, you are lying.

Seasonic shitty sir hexen??? You clearly are mis-informed. or a troll.

OP your unit is under warranty. Go through the RMA process. You wont get better than Seasonic. There is Superflower but your budget wont cater for such.

Actually, Super Flower has some very cheap and extremely well made PSUs, for example the Super Flower Golden King Pro 500W: rated for PLATINUM at 500W, for Gold at 650W, has a passive mode fan, all Japanese capacitors and is about the same price as the Seasonic S12G-450.

The only reason it's not selling like candy is because they aren't available in the US (commercial agreements, meh).
