monitor 1440p !!! under 300$
so is this build is good no need to add or remove something i did some research all seems fine no bottleneck no motherboard issue any suggestion !!!

Hi welcome!

What is your use case for this?

Because if this is just for office work and internet browsing, it is a bit too much. For gaming, its actually ok.

One thing you did not specify, that is of utmost importance, is what monitor you will use. I think these days, its the monitor and screen resolution that actually dictates what kind of GPU and CPU you want and the rest of the build follows the GPU and CPU.

its only for gaming at 1440p high settings
for the monitor maybe i will go with the MSI Optix G274QPF E2 27!

I havent updated myself on these models but your model seems quite near to mine. In retrospect, I should have waited longer because I now feel like I should have saved my money and gotten a proper OLED monitor.

If you have a functioning monitor, do consider keeping it until it breaks (assuming the downtime wouldnt hurt school or work).

you should also probably consider AM4 and 5700X3D (or 5800X3D if you can source one) especially if you can source it for cheap vs the 12700K.

Not too shabby for a gaming rig, however, let’s look at the cost…

PCPartPicker Part List

It’s acceptable, for sure. But, let me bring up my value build from a different thread. You might want to revise that build slightly as prices change around on a daily basis, but those two builds should be equivalent in price.

The three things that stick out in your build, are the 12700k Alder Lake (why? Get the 9700X or 245KF for the same money), the liquid cooling (nothing wrong with it, but it is overkill for your build), and perhaps the Z690 Taichi which may or may not be at a good price point. You should only have to pay around $150-$200 for boards of the same chipset and quality.

The 4070 Super is also an okay card. I am more partial towards the 7800 XT myself, similar performance, slightly worse features, ~10-15% less cost. Neither is wrong though.

I was curious. My local price stack’s

CPU street price, new, US$
7600X 194
12700K 216
5700X3D 220
9600X 245
5900X 268
7700 273
14700K 283
7700X 289
5950X 313
9700X 319
7900X 352
265K 383
9900X 399
7800X3D, 7900X3D 479

5800X3D and 9800X3D are only scalpers, 7900 is way more than the 7900X, 13700Ks are gone.

If you live near a MicroCenter check out their bundle deals:

You could save or upgrade significantly depending on your choice.

The 5700 3D and Gen 12 i7K are both [effectively] terminal/swansong options:
Gen 12 being treated, as only stable stack, for the LGA1700 socket
5000 series of Ryzen, being the last iteration of AM4 processors

Both will offer good M.2 support, along with DDR4 speeds [so can shave a few dollars]
Both platforms are PCIe 4.0 friendly, so current/upcoming GPUs aren’t gonn’ be phased [at all]
AMD 550 / 570S /// Intel Z690-D4 / Z790-D4 Chipsets

Is AIO, a dead set thing? Seems a bit overkill [mho]

Do you have any case form factor stipulations?

Yeah I think so too, unless you have a specific CPU heavy use case.

A 360 AIO makes sense as a 12700K’s stock ~235 W is air coolable but loud. Not that a 360’s all that quiet at 200+, wouldn’t bother with the 240 possibility in the OP as it’ll be outperformed by 120 air.

The 5700X3D, 9700X, and 245K raised as alternatives are all on smaller process nodes, lower power, and would be fine with dual tower air. Depending on local pricing, they might also offer the same or lower total CPU + cooler cost.
