Ive been tearing my hair out the last week trying to get the passthrough to work. Anyone out there have success???
My specs are 3090 FE, 7950x3d. I bought this motherboard specifically for the display passthrough but can’t seem to get it working for the life of me.
I have my “dp-in” connected to my 3090FE and hooked my usbc monitor to the 1st thunderbolt slot and nothing.
Additional things i have already tried.
- swapped multiple known working DP cables as the passthrough dp
- tried all the dp ports on my 3090
- tried a host of usbc and thunderbolt cables even going as far as borrowing a working thunderbolt4 apple cable to connect my monitor to the usb4 port
Bios settings i tried
- disabling the igpu; enabling the igpu
- setting hybrid mode on and off
The one thing i noticed if i have the igpu enabled i get the bios boot screen to load on the usbc screen but as soon as windows loads up the monitor disconnects. At this point I would even be happy to have this usbc monitor use the igpu while my mains use the 3090 but that doesnt seem to work either.
