Hard drive in GF's rig is failing

starting to hear a lot of clicking and we were trying to figure out if a 1tb SSD or 2 HDD's in a redundant setup is better? her main concern is that her OS and files/wallpapers will be there. the current choices are a 1tb mushkin SSD or 2 2tb HDD's. she is coming from a 1tb HDD and has 256gb free. doesn't mass download much or munch through space. so for reliability is a SSD or 2 disks better?

120gb ssd for os and prorgrams and a 1 or 2tb hard drive for storage(pictures/wallaper,etc). Get everything she wants to be saved on there backed up quick before it craps out.

I'd get a 480 SSD and a 2 TB HDD. And then setup some kind of automatic sync job for the important stuff.

it's backed up already and thanks for the suggestions! i figured she woud be against a multiple letter drive config but she said that it wouldn't bother her so that's probably what i will do.

Unless she has a large old music collection just get a cheap 256gb... More than enough for most people
