So I have H12SSL-NT in iStarUSA M-4160HD-ATX case. I am running vSphere 6.7 and passthrough the 2 SlimSAS to TrueNAS SCALE VM. If I have any drive installed in the case, I am getting this error during the boot. In BIOS, the SlimSAS is set to SATA mode(instead of NVMe).
After some test, it seems to be an issue with passthrough. When running linux on bare metal, I don’t see that error anymore.
Why are you running ESXi 6.7?
At the very least go 7.0 U3
