I am looking into buying either the gtx 660 or the 7870. Could i get some opinions on which card would be better. Some of the games i plan to play are : arkham city, LoL, skyrim, Ac3.

Those 2 card are pretty close, You might have a better time going with the 7870 (Do some research on it), but if you can find a 660ti for cheap get that; it out performs both.
Are there are 660ti's that you would reccomend? I am trying to stick under 250 but if ti is close i can go ahead and get it.
unless you find a deal at your local frys or microcentermost non-referance 660ti's are going to run around the $300(+) mark.
Me personally, i can't recommend to many 660ti's without looks at specs. (as i havn't owned any) I've had good stuff with MSI recently but i know logan loves EVGA for being non complicated and a good company, and he also loves ASUS for their coolers
I just went with 7870 over the 660, and i love it so far! I have used nvidia all my life, and never had a problem so i was a little unsure about switching at first. but I am really happy with my 7870 plus its really easy to overclock right off the bat and runs very stable. I think either of these cards will keep you running games with great preformance in the future as well.
I might just go with the 7870 since it comes with far cry and i dont have that game yet. Any opinions on wether the msi hawk is a good one or should i go for another model?
I bought the diamond 7870, the difference between mine and the msi model is that the diamond only had 1 fan. when i turned the fan speed up to 100% it sounded like a plane taking off which was really annoying. Now i only run my fan at 50% speed and it cools fine. I think the diamond model is a little sleeker, but for cooling sake I think the msi is one a great choice.
