I'm doing some overclocking, and i dont know much about changing voltages can someone explain to voltages. Also maybe some of the risks of it? Btw the card I'm looking to overclock is my GTX 480, which I know i cant overclock too much because of the temps.
If temps are an issue then don't overvolt.
Overvolting will add lots of heat, and shorten the life span of your card (depending on how much it's overclocked). If heat is in any way an issue, don't touch the voltages. Also, I know that 480s eat power like crazy, so I imagine heat is quite a problem. I am in no way an expert in overclocking, But I would advise against overvolting on that particular card.
