GPU that will work well with this system?

Windows 7 64-bit

AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.60 GHz

8 GB of RAM

BFG 8800 GTS 640 MB

The only problem is the PSU is only 460 watts so please keep that in mind with the GPU suggestions.

This is the PC I use at my uncle's house when I have to housesit which has been quite often lately. I have been playing the new Tomb Raider with Post Processing turned off with no problems on the normal graphics setting at 1920x1080. But I do believe the GPU is holding this PC back from performing as best it can. I'm just looking for a GPU that would work well with this system without bottlenecking it. Thanks for any help/suggestions :)

FYI 460W PSU should be fine for most video cards - people over quote W's for system to often

I believe it is your GPU holding you back, too. I would advise picking up a nice mid range card, like a 660ti or a 7870GHz.

You might want to overclock that Phenom up to 3.5, if you can. Invest in a air cooler, which are relatively cheap.

I can't OC my uncle's PC because it is a pre-built PC from Dell. I added the 8800 GTS a couple years ago to his PC so I could play some games while housesitting.

definitely go with an AMD 7800 series card, I love my 7870. It runs most games at high framerates.

GTX 650 or 660 would work nicely.

What about this GPU?

direct cu cooler is nice and all, but you could get a 7790 or 650 ti boost for that much (maybe even a 7850)

Amd 7750 or nVidia 650ti boost for that PSU, this is assuming a relatively low budget.

Ok, ok, how about this GPU?

Well, any thoughts on this GPU?

Ok, I have narrowed it down between these two,

Both HD7850'S are $140 (the sapphire after a $15 rebate)

You need a minimum of a 500 watt PSU for the 7850 :/  I'm working with a 460 watt PSU.

that's just an estimation, assuming it will run with the most power hungry system you could find

you should be fine...probably

I have a 7850 running with a fx-6100 on this power supply.

I have never had a problem with it and i had the system for a year and now a friend of mine has it.

Both of us play games on it and do a little video rendering.
