GPD Win Max 2 8840u and NVIDIA GPU via OCuLink

Hi,
Has anyone tried connecting an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 using the MinisForum DEG2 dock via OCuLink to a 2024 GPD Win Max 2 with the 8840U processor?
The card works perfectly fine without any issues over TB3/USB4 in a Razer Core X Chroma.
However, there is an issue when using the DEG2.

The card is detected and visible:

lspci | grep -i ‘nvidia’
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA102 \[GeForce RTX 3080\] (rev a1)
01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GA102 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)

The kernel modules are successfully loaded:

# lsmod | grep -i 'nvidia'
nvidia_drm 94208 13
nvidia_modeset 1552384 19 nvidia_drm
nvidia_uvm 1757184 0
nvidia 62943232 1052 nvidia_uvm,nvidia_modeset
drm_kms_helper 253952 4 drm_display_helper,amdgpu,drm_ttm_helper,nvidia_drm
drm 765952 27 gpu_sched,i2c_hid,drm_kms_helper,drm_exec,drm_suballoc_helper,drm_display_helper,nvidia,drm_buddy,amdgpu,drm_ttm_helper,nvidia_drm,ttm,amdxcp
video 81920 2 amdgpu,nvidia_modeset

But whenever I try to run nvidia-smi, I get the following error in dmesg:

kern :warn : [Jul 7 11:53] NVRM: GPU at PCI:0000:01:00: GPU-81d18892-dd0b-6448-db5c-b1497f77ddf4

…and the process itself fails with a no device found error.

The system I’m using is Debian 12 running kernel 6.12.90 from backports:

# uname -a
Linux Hostname 6.12.90+deb12.1-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.12.90-2~bpo12+1 (2026-05-28) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Installed drivers:

ii nvidia-driver 535.261.03-1 amd64 NVIDIA metapackage
ii nvidia-driver-bin 535.261.03-1 amd64 NVIDIA driver support binaries
ii nvidia-driver-libs:amd64 535.261.03-1 amd64 NVIDIA metapackage (OpenGL/GLX/EGL/GLES libraries)
ii nvidia-driver-libs:i386 535.261.03-1 i386 NVIDIA metapackage (OpenGL/GLX/EGL/GLES libraries)

I have already tried adding pcie_aspm=off to the kernel boot parameters, as well as adding options nvidia NVreg_EnableGSPFirmware=0 to the kernel module configuration, but neither of those helped.
Also tired to disable ReBAR.
I also search for PCIe speed configuration in the Alt+F5 BIOS menu options in AMD PBS and AMD CBS menus but didn’t find those.

Can anyone help me with it?
I’m using OCuLink cable from the DEG2 set.
