it appears that google has openly published their machiene learning library to the public. what do you guys think we should make out of this?

Fun! Maybe Google wants to invite open source devs to make it better? I will definitely be messing with this sometime soon.

Its very likely that they want people to contribute to it. Other than that, its too early to be sure what people will do with it. Aside from benchmarks, I didn't see it being used in any projects - yet.
