Google illegally retains customer data, and I am taking legal action against them

To those questioning my process or sincerity:

Please understand that these posts are not “AI slop.” My findings have been indexed by Google’s own AI Overview because they are based on verifiable, real-world technical data .

I am not just posting opinions; I am documenting a systemic regulatory collapse. I have sent multiple formal, registered letters (with return receipts) to Google’s corporate headquarters regarding these violations. It has been over 3 months, and Google has not responded to a single one. Instead of fixing the backend, they simply renamed the “Delete” button in the UI to mislead users — a move that was a direct reaction to my documentation.

You don’t have to take my word for it. My entire evidence log, including my correspondence with Google’s DPO, is available on the official Google AI Developers Forum under my profile:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: https://discuss.ai.google.dev/u/bitu79/activity/topics

I am asking every engineer here to stop debating and start validating:
Perform the same deletion test I have documented. Record your screen from start to finish, upload the video, and post the link in this thread.

Official postal delivery receipts proving that Google successfully received and signed for my letters at their Mountain View corporate headquarters.
If this is a “bug,” prove me wrong. If it’s “data retention by design,” then it is time to force Google to take accountability. Let’s see who has the technical competence to face the facts.

Please upload your videos and the timestamped recovery emails exactly as requested. This entire topic was created for that purpose.

I trust this community far more than the Google Developers Forum, because over there the Google fanboys are openly hostile and defensive. They are afraid for their own status and they attack anyone who exposes Google’s backend behavior. They are not interested in truth — they are interested in protecting Google.

Here, people actually care about technical reality.

Google’s developers and moderators have already tried to hide from me. They ignored my DPO letters, they changed the UI text instead of fixing the backend, and they pretend the deletion is real even though the JSON‑restore test proves the opposite.

This is why I am asking you — this community — to help by uploading your evidence.

What I need from you:

  • Upload your full video of the deletion test (exactly as shown in my demonstration).
  • Upload your automatic Google recovery email with the timestamp visible.
  • Post both here in the thread.

This is the only way we can move forward with legal action against Google. Independent replications from multiple users make the case undeniable.

Google has already tried to disappear from the conversation — but they cannot hide from a community‑verified evidence set.

Thank you.

I’m glad you are going the GDPR route, because if you try and take google to court, they’ll just out lawyer you, and drag it out past your economic resources.

One of the good things about the GDPR thing, is your ICO/whatever, can use their governments money, to make a case against google, and actually levy substantial fines against them, larger than any payout you’d get after many years of tough legal process.

Of course, Google will automatically object, and it may take a decade to reach conclusion, but then, the ICO have the manpower and funding to last that long

And because googles TOS automatically retain the rights (which is superceeded by actual law, like GDPR) to all data given to them, they will do the same for all users, world wide.
And it’s not just ai chatbots that they keep data illegally, it’ll be gmail and yt comments and everything.
Just because they provide users a delete button to remove the data from the users sight, doesn’t mean they actually delete it, or even mark it for deletion later.

I skimmed through many long posts, and I don’t use AI, so I can’t make the additional evidence you were hoping to gather

@Trooper_ish Thank you so much! I fucking love your attitude and your no-nonsense perspective on this. You hit the nail right on the head, Google’s delete button is a literal illusion (UI Fraud). Thanks for standing with the mission!

Nope, don’t have a Google account and never will. That is why I am asking.

Good luck with your case and keep us updated. I personally dislike the emotional war rethoric and think there are better was to handle it, but that is just my opinion.
