PSA. I was just looking around Tiger Direct for some discounted hardware and I came across the banner notification at the top of their site. As of the end of March 2023. TigerDirect.com will be retired. They are apparently being replaced with some sort of direct B2B B2SB type site from whoever bought them a few years back instead, but no more consumer market.

I said goodbye to them years ago. As far as I can remember I’ve only tried to buy from them once and it was the worst retail experience I’ve ever had. They tried to bait-and-switch me, they lied to me about multiple things, and I’m pretty sure it’s the only time someone from a company has screamed at me over the phone. Good times.

Meh… TigerDirect was always sketchy. The were acquired by PCM, then PCM was acquired by Insight.
