Them googles have kinda failed me here; does anyone out there have suggestions a chromebook or the like that can be shipped to someone in an attempt to get some tabletop gaming back up and running remotely? Our group has someone who moved away a while back and I’m trying to bring up some options hardware/software-wise to try and get them to the table remotely.
I guess my question is twofold, has anyone had experience with a remote party member and is it just too much of a PITA to deal with? If it can work, what are good software/hardware options for remote play? I can set up whatever on my end, but the dude on the other is less technical. Has anyone gotten away with just using mumble and no video? If we send him a chromebook, what is the least suck as far as camera and mic?
