But does anyone know of a some good front bay expansion devices to add 10gigabit or 20 gigabit ports to the front of a PC? I finally got my hands on an old Corsair Carbide Air 540 (my favorite PC case I never bought 10 years ago) for $20. All I need is some USB-C in the front as all my drives I use these days are USB-C and/or thunderbolt. Also having some modern speed UHS-II or other media drives would be really helpful.
I have been seeing some good 3.5 inch bays but feels like a waste of space.
I just use a Akasa PCI bracket on mine. Says it’s rated for 10Gbps so haven’t tested 20Gbps as my motherboard in my Air 540 is not new enough to take advantage of that.
I have also been hunting for a multiple USB C 5.25" front panel for years now. Seeing as 5.25" bays are not in vogue anymore, I guess one has to make do with what they can find.
