Are you a hacking modder? Do you like a challenge? Fork this.
In all seriousness, GitHub is hosting a game development challenge over the month of November. It is open to everyone and all you will need is a free GitHub account to submit your code.
If you'd like to get started in game development this is a great first step to take. I will personally be lending my assistance to anyone wanting to make their first game, but I also hope that some of the other game devs will be joining in.
This will be a place to showcase your progress, ask for help, gather inspiration, and pool resources.
To enter:
- Create/sign-in to a GitHub account
- Fork this repository
- Code furiously for November
- Make sure your latest version of your game is pushed before Dec 1 2016
The theme is "hacking/modding/augmenting", but is very open ended and leaves room for creativity.
For example, I'll be creating a game called "A broken computer" which you have to "hack/mod" to get working.
