Gigabyte MW83-RP0 Build

Building a new CAD box.
Gigabyte MW83-RP0 mobo
Intel W-3455 CPU.
Sabrent 1TB NVme
Qaudro P5000

Have assembled mobo, CPU & fan with 32GB RDIMM on QVL list.
New 850W PSU, Sabrent 1TB NVme drive with a working Quadro P5000.

Simple setup but the boot time from cold is horrendous, 10 minutes!

Updated BIOS to F10 & still no joy. Been in contact with Gigagyte eSupport and they suggest a stripped back system.

I have managed to install Win 11 Pro & this works fine, run Windows memory test no problems & Intels own cpu test program shows OK.

Have set BIOS to optimised defaults with no change. A restart from Win 11 boots instantly!

Any ideas?

Sussed it! The BMC is trying to connect to a server. Disabled the BMC and its boots relatively quickly.
Now I’ve read some more on the BMC I understand what it is.
I turned it back on in the BIOS and put a random address in (192.168.100.90) and it still boots OK.
Sadly the documentation for this motherboard is extremely poor.

Morning All

Got my mobo back from RMA, got a new one!

Have built a system with above mobo, my old box had ASUS X-99E with 2 Quadro P5000’s in SLI. The MW83 has 7 slots but no mention of SLI ready in specs as do most (all?) new W790 mobo’s

I’m loathe to bin the Quadro’s as they work very well, meet my requirements & RTX cards are more expense.

Anybody else use SLI on a new generation mobo with experience of working, non-working or BSOD misery?
