Ghosted by MS Surface Support

Any tips on getting ahold of a human at Microsoft hardware support?

I started a service call about a month ago on a Surface Book 2 with a bad battery in the tablet portion. The call proceeded to the point where they were approving an RMA for replacement. Then they ghosted me.

Emails (with official case number and everything) to Microsoft support have gone unanswered almost two weeks now. When I call the 800# of the “manager”, I spend maybe five minutes going through a voicemail tree, then a poor quality voice synth recording comes up “We’re sorry we’re not providing phone support at this time.” and the line goes dead.

Microsoft has a support crew?

Keep trying to get through to them/call them out on social media/threaten to take them to a small claims court/contact where you bought it from, rather than the OEM (those last two work better in some countries than others)
