I think I’m going to track down a K40 when I have some stupid money and just sell both the cards. I need a new phone.

970 will probably sell for more

I was legit going to list it for 150. What should I list it for?

Type in 970 in EBay, filter buy it now, list 5-10$ less that the lowest buy it now option if you want to sell it super fast, if you can wait then sell it at it’s trending price

this wasn’t my first Nvidia card in this system, so mine was 0004. after i FINALLY got it working in the X16 slot, it was 0005

oh, and on that topic, even tho i was only running a 2400G (on B450), i had to update to a recent late Zen 2/Zen 3-prep BIOS on MSI. guessing it was this bios note on the second to last BIOS before the one i chose

- Update AMD ComboPI1.0.0.4 Patch B (SMU v46.54)
- Improved system boot up time
- Improved PCI-E device compatibility.

even tho i’d been forcing IGP graphics and even the dedicated VRAM size. until then, it was only working on the PCIe 2.0 x4 slot :S

anywho, EXCELLENT GUIDE! now i just need to figure out the quickiest, laziest way to cool this x)

I highly recommend a Push pull set up with a 60mm fan for the push and a 92mm extractor for the pull

that said if you have an assload of other cards in the system the extractor can take up 4-5 slots so not recommended unless they are also “no video output” cards like the teslas are

This is a good and cheap solution
On Amazon or Newegg

These cards don’t have traditional heatsinks on them, they are more like blower heatsinks without the blower
The above will not cool a k40 or m40 who’s heatsink is seal at the top like this

The adapter might work on the k80 or the firmi tesla’s because they have heatsinks like this

yes, it is not possible from the top only from the back or the front

Hi there I have just tried to run the Valley benchmark in DX11, but I only get like 5-10 FPS, but when i use DX9 I get 35-50 FPS. Does anyone have an idea how to get games like Rockatleague or other DX11 / DX12 games to run fine?

On DX9 it runs at : Graphics 1100Mhz and Memory 3125Mhz
But on DX11 it only runs at : Graphics 324Mhz and Memory 324Mhz

Can you list your specs, and what your Nvidia control panel says

Are you running standard windows 10 or the insider dev version
