You may be able to completely remove the AdapterType from the P40 section of the registry.
here is a link that may help if you haven’t tried this already, It could also be the later driver your trying to use that is causing these problems. Edit: Also did you edit in registry the 1080 AdapterType=2 ? 1080 should be 2 P40=1
