I want a 120hz, 1080p, 1-5ms, 23"-24" monitor. Anybody know of ones that does not force me to eat bread and water for the next 3 months
Side question: is there a 1440p 120hz monitor?

A 120Hz 1080p monitor goes for around 500 USD from what I found. At that price I would just get 1440p 27 inch for around 600. As for the side question- no, there are no 120Hz 1440p monitors.
Now I will ask a question. Why do you need a 120Hz monitor for gaming and what kind of beastly system do you have that you will be able to run games (maxed) at 120fps in at least 1080p (I doubt you could get a system that could run games 1440p at 120 fps without selling your house/soul/children)?

Get a 27" 1440p monitor, get an Asus, Dell, or Samsung and you can't go wrong. I simply can't recommend a 1080p monitor, even if its 120Hz.
get a good proffesional eizo or phillips CRT for gaming. They have far superior response time and colours than any LCD, at least for this task.
get what w_km said (IPS, quality colours and good angles) for photo, video, movies and some gaming (if your serious, you have to sacrifice quality for response time)
So I should get a 27" 1440p from LG?
