Game Recommendations

I'll check that out as soon as I can, my connection is a bit slow right now, it's normally alright, but right now, it's just awful.

I've just looekd up Dungeon of Endless and Endless Legend, what do you guys think about those games? - They look pretty cool to me. Haven't played either of them though. So if you guys have played them, let me know what you think?

System Shock 1 and 2... you pretty much have to have SS2 in your games imo

I have both, spent a few of hours on both... Still have no clue on how to play Endless legends, it seems pretty complicated.

I have not played endless space in a long time, I liked it but like endless legends, I never got the hang of it.

If you like spending hours on hours of playing a game/learning how to play, then yes they are worth a buy.

Endless space 2 looks amazing btw

I've learned how to play Dungeon of Endless already, seems quite simple really, 'Dust' powers rooms, productivity seems like the currency for building stuff, science develop new things, food to heal and level up. Obviously that's a summed up version.

And Endless Legends, it looks great to me. I'd buy it right now but I can't really connect to anything right now and I'm actually finding that a wee bit frustrating. More so now because you can save 75% with Endless games right now.

dungeon of the endless made more sense to me, but even not really getting how to do anything in Endless legends (I should have played the tutorial but ya know lol. It is not really like the dungeon game) I still had fun and like I said played for hours lol. I'd pick them up if I was you.

The story/world in Legends is amazing, and worth the price of the game imo

Yeah, I've just bought the two, £7 for the two, you can't go wrong there, even if I end up hating the both of them, it doesn't really matter aye? Basically paid £3.50 for the two, that 75% off, can't complain at all. I would've considered getting Endless Space II too, but I don't think that was actually on sale, to be fair, it did only just come out the other day didn't it?

It's in early access, so to me its not out just yet and not worth a buy just yet.

Yeah, but having said that, Medieval Engineers is in early access, but it's funny because the chaos engine is serious evidence of that, when you destroy stuff in ME, the frame rates slows down so much, and I've seen it happen on loads of other people's computers. I mean I don't have an i7 or the latest GPU, but I do have good enough specs to be able to run a game like that just fine. I doubt that ME would even make use of the i7's hyper threading, maybe the higher cycle speed, it may benefit from the extra 4 virtual cores, but I have no idea personally, I've done 0 research into it.

I just doubt it, simply because there are not many games that are able to make use of hyper threading.

BTW. Talking about games that require you to learn, I've started playing a game called AI War Fleet Command, and I cba to play the tutorials, and funny fact, I did actually try to play the first one but it glitched out and I couldn't actually complete the tutorial! XD

I've not played them two, I gave them a quick google they do look cool. The only game I've played somewhat like that is: Total War Shogun 2. It's pretty cool and can be played with someone.

And yes Hyper Threading dose not matter for games, if I recall there has actually been cases where it's decreased performance in games, rather then improved. But don't worry it was a tiny decrease not really noticeable, but still.

From what I've heard and read about, I too can support that statement. It's something stupidly small like 1~5FPS drop, even thought you'd still get WAY more FPS than what you'd need, like probably around the 80 FPS region or something like that! ;)

Worst case I've ever heard of was like a 5% drop, but the guy had 100 FPS with an i5, so running at 95 FPS, you're really not gonna notice the difference, or if you are able to actually do that then I'm amazed and I take my hat off to you.

I doubt that if you had a top range GPU and an i7, given that they're both relatively new, and a decent amount of RAM, then you should never experience problems in games, unless the games are poorly optimised or something like that.

Thank you so much for reminding me about this, I totally forgot about the Ratchet and Clank games, I also loved those games when I was younger.

ive got plenty of more game recommendations. just need to go through my game guide library. i always rented games and always tookout the game guide from the box so i have an entire box of game guides.

That is true. At least PC ports have got a look better probably thanks to the x86 from the consoles. I always found the way Capcom did ports in the past way more efficient, back when they were actually a good force within the gaming world: They'd take PC as their main platform, optimised then port to consoles, not the other way around. In return all their MT Framework games ran like a dream on PC, because they were the target platform first and foremost.

Risk of Rain. It's a rouge like platform. Plan to pull out your hair because this one is hard.

I actually have Risk of Rain, and I've noticed it's somewhat challenging.

This one depends on the drops mainly. Crappy items - the run is ruined. It's like Isaak. If you don't have a nice combo of items - you have no chance...
