I've been trying to get my mic to work, and usually it should be easy to fix but I tried everything to reinstalling drivers and setting things for them, but for everything I do nothing works for the mic to read.
I have used many mics so it's not the one mic that's botched.
It's my front panel i'm using in the mic port.
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ is my mobo and the audio drive is realtek HD the software that came with it.
So the headphone port works but the microphone one doesn't?
Correct, well only one side works the side without the mic part, for headphones that is. I have stereo speakers in the back panel working fine, but all mic ports do not single anything
Sure your microphone just isn't broken?
Yeah, I have 5 different mics and they work on other PC's too so yeah
Found something out, I think some how my speakers are made into a mic because my default mic shows some green bars when the music is playing really loudly; it convenlty happens to move to the beat of the music. Somehow I think my default mic is a speaker but I don't understand how to switch it?\ maybe?
So I was recording the mic and was I get is white noise, but when I have something on my stereo mix I faintly here the music, then when stereo mix is used it's the computer sound.
