Fringe/Niche Display Issue

Greetings gang, hoping to enlist the help of the brain trust with some fact finding! Recently built a PC for a buddy:

7800x3D
Gigabyte 4080S
32GB DDR5 6000cl30

Now we get funky with the display configuration:

3 x 1440p165hz Dell G2724D mounted around a sim racing setup. 1 x 1440p360hz Alienware AW2725DF “primary” desktop gaming monitor. 1 x internal portrait “status” monitor that utilizes HDMI for Aida64 status.

My initial plan was to run them as configured: 3 x G2724D over DP1.4 out, AW2725DF over HDMI 2.1, and the status monitor running off the iGPU because it’s a negligible load. I’ve learned now that Dell/HDMI consortium has scammed everyone with the HDMI “2.1” vs 2.1b and that the AW2725DF does not in fact have a full fat HDMI 2.1 port which has blown up my plan.

We’ve tried using a DP switch to swap between one G2724D and the AW2725DF but we’re stuck at 144hz on the otherwise 360hz display. I’m assuming either the switch lacks the bandwidth or is stepping on DSC between the GPU and display.

Is there a way to configure these as-is or is my alternative to suggest we return the AW2725DF for the MSI27QRX which not only has full fat HDMI 2.1 but also toggle-able DSC? Follow up question, does full fat HDMI 2.1 require DSC to push 1440p360? the DSC/high bandwidth display land is new to me.
