Freesync over HDMI to Displayport active adapter

Anyone know if Freesync will work using this type of adapter?

I’m just curious if anyone has had any experience with this sort of setup. For example: Ryzen 3/5 with Vega graphics and a motherboard that only has HDMI out. This is not the best build to take advantage of Freesync, but will be cool to know more.

Freesync works over both HDMI and DisplayPort. So it’s all about your monitor at this point. If you’re monitor only have DisplayPort then I’m sorry…

Thanks to all for the input. I found a review on Amazon for the GoFanco variant of this adapter. The user seems to have tested it extensively and clearly notes that Freesync doesn’t work.

Hope this thread is useful for everyone else.
