First time building a pc, would love comment's on my parts list before I buy

Would it be worth it if I don't plan on buying a 4k monitor?

a single GTX 970 will be plenty for desktop monitors with resolution up to 1440p ... but if you use larger high resolution monitors over 32" ... or if you want very high frame rates you would benefit from dual 970s

2560x1440 is QHD.  Not quite 4k.  If you want to max out all settings at 2560x1440, two 970s is a good setup.  For 4k, even two 980s may not be enough.

My next question....AMD or Intel?

A little edit on sometechnoobs build to give faster 1866Mhz CL9 Ram and the top of the line Noctua D15 CPU cooler ... His build was almost perfect .... Intel is definitely the way to go with this build.

and this is what I would build for myself

And here is a good article about the new GTX 970 and 980

Last question guys. I'm most likely going to go with the dual 970 build by some tech noob. I was wondering can anyone help me coordinate a color design? I'd like to either go with red/black, black/blue or white blue

Hey all! Long time no see. Well, I am unfortunately not about to spend 2k but more around $1500-1600 for the rig. Can anyone give me a better build dollar for dollar around there? Any help would be much much appreciated!

Also should I consider AMD since the general consensus is they are cheaper?
