Hello everyone,
I'm looking to build a PC for gaming. I am an avid total war player but currently do not have a computer that can run Rome total war 2 or the newer titles. I am not concerned about maxing the game out. My main priority is to find a budget build that will run Rome total war 2 on decent settings. Thanks for your time!

What is your budget?
What country are you from?
Budget is between 500-700 and I'm in the US
If you could enlarge your budget to $750, you get this-- http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TrivTrav/saved/2t3C
Otherwise, you could get the Sapphire version of the 7950.
do you need windows, cd drive, hard drive?
thank you for the suggestion !

This includes Windows 8, but you can add windows 7 for the same price!
Well I guess my build isn't for you if you need an OS. I would go with Zaccos build.
If you are biulding a computer for total war you whant a intel i5 and a nivida gpu that game runs terribly on amd systems because of its crap optimisations (there games run on a single cpu core!!)

its hard to fit an i5 within this budget
I tried to stay under 700 without skimping out too much. I failed :C.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor . Better core performance, overclockable for the future.
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Pro4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard . Fit the bill and need.
RAM: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory . All you need for gaming.
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive . Cheap and big.
GPU: PowerColor Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card . Powerful for the price.
CASE: Fractal Design Core 3000 ATX Mid Tower Case . Cheap, used in Kill My Console.
PSU: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply . Great PSU. Don't skimp out on this stuff.
If you want to lower the budget, you can go with a cheaper i5 along with a mobo with a less expensive chipset, or perhaps lower the storage space.
thanks, for a $1000 then what would you recommend?
thank you for trying your best. If the budget was increased to 1000 what would you recommend?

This is a nice build for $980!
If you had 1000 dollars, I'd get this build.
