Hello everyone,
I recently build my first pc around 2 weeks ago with the below specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX XT 65.57 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE V2 GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB Video Card
Case: Corsair 5000D CORE AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Upon building and after getting my first POST I ran some stress tests (Cinebench R24 and Aida CPU stress test) with no issue.
The pc was running fine up until yesterday, the only change I made during that time was enabling Secure Boot through my motherboard bios.
While I was gaming for less than an hr the PC suddenly stop displaying, with all RGB displaying except the ram one and I could not power off the pc through the power button.
I unplugged it and restarted though the motherboard did not display any debug led and now ram had RGB on. Sadly still the power button could not close it still.
This time after unplugging I check all my cables,RAM and my CPU for any issue and found nothing. I then cleared the CMOS as a last resort.
The after plugging everything in I got straight back to windows with no problem. I had installed latest windows updates and the latest nvidia driver for the GPU. Also on the note of gaming I ran some game benchmarks and play some games for around 3hrs+ nothing abnormal happened then (this is before the incident).
I am a bit worried as this my first build, so I would like any recommendations if I need to check something specific again to test that everything is ok.
Thank you!
