First PC build, How is this?

Intel i5 3570K

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Superclocked 02G-P4-2662-KR

ASRock z77 Extreme 4

XMS3 (PC3-12800)

Hitachi 1TB Deskstar Hard drive (I have a SSD on order and will be tossing another 1tb in next month)

Cooler master 500W Power supply

and the cheapest CDdrive I could get my hands on... I would have bought a shit liteon but I sprung the extra 4 dollars for a samsung

Oh and the case is a thermaltake Commander MS-1 in white.

Now I just need to figure out the OS situation and it will be time to watch up some build videos and put this together.

What are you going to use to cool that Intel i5 3570K??? (as I take it you will be overclocking the hell out of it, so will need a aftermarket cooler)

And save up the little extra it will cost to get a 7950, over that 660.

Decent looking, but coolermaster PSU's are known to be bad. When Logan says don't skimp on the PSU, it's because if the PSU goes down it can take all of your hardware with it.

For the OS I would go Ubuntu 12.04 or higher. (12.04 has the best compatibility usually.)

Ha. Went on this topic simply to laugh at your name.

Thats my input. Dont know your exact budget, but its pretty good for the parts.

I might let it roll stock for a bit so I can get used to it and then really lay into it with the overclocking.

I am thinking that I might upgrade the power supply since I am reading some of the reviews..
