First PC Build - $1000 3D Modeling/Gaming PC

Hello all,

I need a little help picking out components for my first PC build.

PC Requirements/Tasks:

- 3D CAD Modeling programs: Autodesk Inventor/Creo Parametric

- Simulation software: MSC Adams, Matlab

- Games: Not sure yet. New to the performance PC world (recommendations welcome!)

- Under $1200 (ideally under $1000)

Desired Components (want to build around these):

- Corsair Obsidian Series 350D MicroATX Case (I like the aesthetics and form factor)

- Intel Core i5-4670K

I just want to say that I am so happy that I stumbled upon a Tek Syndicate YouTube video a few months ago. Logan is hilarious and just seems like an all around great guy! In fact the whole Tek Syndicate crew strikes me as incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! I'm looking forward to becoming more active in the computing community in the near future!

 Kind thanks,

Bryce

Also, in anticipation of this build, I asked for a few peripherals for Christmas:

- ASUS VN248H-P 23.8" Widescreen Monitor

- Corsair Vengeance M95 Mouse

*Fingers crossed*

Honestly spend the $7 extra dollars and just get a 4670k. It will allow you options for future overclocking. However if you plan on never overclocking then the H100i will be overkill for cooling.
